Silver Medal Win in the Pin Design Competition
While I was a South Central College student, I designed a t-shirt and a pin for the SkillsUSA T-Shirt and Pin Design Competitions. The purpose of the design was to commemorate the SkillsUSA annual Leadership Conference in Minnesota in 2019. I had to create a design that is representative of the state, including the state name, the state outline, the words "SkillsUSA," and the year. There was also a limitation on colors used; the pin design required two spot colors, while the t-shirt design required four.
A major component of the competition was to make an oral presentation about the design and my design process. To the left is the presentation board I designed and used.
Pin Design
The pin design competition specified only two spot colors. I chose gold and black.
